Pick out your gear online and use the calendar to tell us your first ski day and your last ski day. Select store pick-up at check out for free pick-up from our store in Colorado, or choose to have your order delivered to your destination (delivery fees apply). Returns are easy. On your last ski day, leave the rented gear in its bag or box at the front desk by 6 pm for pick-up, or drop off at our store using our convenient 24h drop box. Out of state customers will receive a prepaid shipping label for easy returns.
We are meticulous about cleaning all of our gear. If we wouldn’t want to wear it, we don’t rent it.
Jackets and pants are washed and dried thoroughly and remain out of circulation for at least 24 hours after each use.
Gloves are either washed and dried or treated with our state-of-the art ozone disinfection system after each use.
Goggles are treated with our state-of-the art ozone disinfection system and also wiped with goggle treatment wipes as needed after each use.
Boots are scrubbed with soap and water and also sprayed with a disinfectant spray after each use.
Gear bags are sprayed with disinfectant spray after each use.
All gear remains out of circulation for at least 24 hours after each use.
If gear is tried on in the store, it is treated with either our ozone or UV disinfection systems and held out for 24 hours before returning to circulation. All guests will be given disposable gloves to try on ski gloves in the store to protect the cleanliness of the gear.

Mountain Threads requires all traveling groups to stay with their parties while in the store. We have 2 rental rooms to keep groups separate. If more than 2 groups are needing to rent gear at the same time, we have implemented a take-a-number system where you will be given a numbered traffic cone to put on or behind your car. This way, you can stay safe and warm in your vehicle until there’s enough space in the shop to welcome you inside in the order that you arrived.

We partner with high quality trusted brands to offer jackets and pants from Columbia, O’Neill,
Boulder Gear, Sorel boots, Hot Chillys base layers, Scott gloves, Bula neck gaiters, helmet liners
and balaclavas, and Bolle goggles. Our jackets have Omni-Heat technology designed to reflect your
body heat back to your core, keeping you warm. All of our inventory is like new, so rest assured you
will be hitting the slopes in current styles and the latest technology. Our outerwear sizing runs from
2T – 14/16 for Kids and from Small to 5X for adults.
We also offer comfort items such as humidifiers, boot and glove dryers, sunscreen, snacks and hand/toe warmers. Stop by our store to pick out what you need or add to your online order.

Use our size charts to estimate your size by clicking on the size chart link below each item image or
by using the sizing chart at the bottom of the page. For kids we usually recommend going with their
regular street clothes size. Our women’s jackets and pants run a little small, so if you are between
sizes, go up to the next size. Men’s clothing runs fairly true-to-size. Double check sizing by
measuring chest, waist, and hips. If you have any doubt, size up.
We are always happy to talk through sizing on the phone with you to help you feel comfortable. We also recommend store pick-up for your order, if possible, so you can try things on before you hit the slopes. We are not able to exchange on deliveries or after-hour pick-ups, so please make sure you have selected appropriate sizing.

There is no charge for your pick-up and drop-off days as long as you are not planning to use the rental clothing on those days. We ask you to pick up in the afternoon and drop off before noon if possible.

We staff our store Monday – Friday 9:00am-6:00pm, Saturday 8:00am-6:00pm, and Sunday 8:00am-2:00pm. If you are arriving outside of those hours, we are happy to meet you at the store for your pick-up. Just call us to arrange a time to meet, and we’ll be there! We’ve been seen at the store all hours of the day and night making sure our customers get the gear they need, so don’t feel bad if your flight gets in late or you want to hit the slopes super early. We will make it happen.
We are on-call 24/7 to help folks whose bags don’t arrive with them at the airport. It’s possible that we’ve been up until 2 am helping customers with lost bags get some ski clothing. If you have a question about our service, want to make a modification or place an order, we would love it if you could call during our normal store hours. If it can’t wait, we certainly understand and will be happy to help.

Without traffic, our Golden, CO store is approximately 45 minutes west of the Denver International Airport (DIA). If you are coming to our store for pick-up from the airport, give us a call to let us know you are on your way. If you select delivery, your order will be delivered to your destination on the evening before or in the
early morning of your first ski day. Deliveries to hotels can be picked up at the front desk. We are not
able to exchange on deliveries, so please make sure you have selected appropriate sizing per our
sizing charts. When in doubt, size up! If you need to consult with us in advance, please give us a
call.
On your last ski day, please leave your rental gear with the front desk staff in the evening and we will have a driver pick it up. If you are staying in a private residence or booking through a property management company, we will work with you in advance to confirm the location and time of delivery and pick-up.
To qualify for delivery or shipping, your order must equal or exceed $80 . Delivery and pick up within our designated delivery area (Keystone, Breckenridge, Copper Mountain, Vail, Beaver Creek, Winter Park) is $80 for orders placed five days in advance. Rush orders can be accommodated for an extra fee. There is no discount for one-way delivery.
For deliveries outside of our standard hand-delivery area, customers will receive their items via UPS at their hotel or pre-arranged delivery location on the day before your first ski day. When you are done, it’s simple to return. Pack up your gear in the packaging it arrived in and attach the pre-printed return shipping label provided in your box. Tape up the box and leave it with the hotel front desk or at a UPS shipping location for pick-up.

We recommend placing your order two weeks in advance for regular season orders and a month or more in advance for peak season (Christmas and New Years weeks, Presidents Week and Spring Break). We will make every effort to accommodate you even if you call us the morning you are heading up the hill or if you just come to the store. We do carry a large inventory, but if we have advance notice it helps us better meet your needs.
Cancel within 48 hours for a full refund by calling (303) 993-2474. With less than 48 hours notice, the
customer will be responsible for delivery fees and first day's rental. We are not able to pro-rate for
early returns that fall within the 48 hour window.
Mountain Threads offers discounts for multi-day rental of our most popular item, the Performance
Package - jacket, pants, gloves and goggles designed for comfort and performance. When renting
for three or more days, adults pay $34/day and kids pay just $24/day for the package deal. This
discount is automatically applied when you add the package to your cart.

If the item is lost or stolen or we cannot rent it again, we charge the retail price of the item to replace
